Hugh Cecil passes away at age 90

The Rocky Horror Preservation Foundation was recently informed, by a member of his family, that on February 11th, 2004 Hugh Cecil, passed away.

Born in 1914 with the name Cecil Ware, Hugh began doing magic at the age of 11 when his mother
gave him his first magic set, something that he continued to do into his late 80's.

One summer while at camp, Hugh contracted Alpecia causing him to go bald. Giving him a look that, as he said "Made him alot of money".

Hugh worked for the U.G.L.Y. Agency when he was booked for The Rocky Horror Picture Show as a Translyvanian for 6 weeks. Daily he was driven to the shoot by Gaye Brown and while on-set he would play Scrabble© with Christopher Biggins and Gaye Brown.

Hugh continued working as an actor / children's entertainer / Punch & Judy professor/magician until about 1999. He has appeared in pop videos for acts such as The Spice Girls and Samantha Fox. He has worked in many advertisements throughout Europe. His later roles included The Armando Ianucci Show and Dad's Army in which he was the only actor to stay on the show for it's entire nine years on the air.

Hugh was 90 years of age at his death.
